Cst. Joseph Steadman Moncton Police Force

On August 1^st 1892 Cst. Steadman was murdered while attempting to arrest two suspects implicated in the burglary of a store. A struggle ensued and four or five shots were fired. Other police officers came and found Cst. Steadman wounded and shot in the chest.
